Refund & Cancellation Policy
At TaxHummer, operated by Hummer Info Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), customer satisfaction is our top priority. We strive to provide accurate and professional expert-assisted income tax filing services. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which you are eligible for a refund or service cancellation.
1. Cancellation Request
You may request a cancellation of our service at any time before the final submission/e-filing of your Income Tax Return (ITR) to the Income Tax Department. Once your return has been filed and the ITR-V acknowledgement has been generated, no cancellation requests will be accepted.
2. Refund Eligibility Criteria
Refunds are processed based on the status of the service execution:
- Full Refund (100%): If you request a cancellation before our tax expert has initiated the review of your documents or calculation of your tax liability.
- Partial Refund (50%): If our tax expert has reviewed your documents and prepared the draft calculation, but you decide to cancel before the final e-filing submission. This is to compensate for the professional time and effort spent on your tax computations.
- No Refund (0%): Once your ITR has been successfully filed with the Income Tax Department of India, and/or the e-filing acknowledgement (ITR-V) has been generated.
3. Special Circumstances
We may issue a full or partial refund at our sole discretion under the following circumstances:
- Double payment: If you were charged twice for the same return due to a transaction error.
- Inability to file: If our experts determine that your return cannot be filed due to legislative or technical limitations out of your control, and no substantial work has been done.
4. Non-Refundable Items
Government fees, taxes, or penalties paid directly to the Income Tax Department of India on your behalf (such as self-assessment tax, late filing fees under Section 234F, or interest) are completely non-refundable through TaxHummer. You must approach the Income Tax Department for any tax-related refunds.

6. Refund Processing Time
Once approved, refunds will be initiated within 5–7 working days to the original payment source (bank account, credit/debit card, or UPI) used at the time of transaction, in compliance with bank and payment gateway guidelines.
